Safe transshipment of your loads

Loads' transshipment is an important part of intermodal loads' transportations. The process of transshipment impacts the quality and integrity of the transported loads. That's why Profetrans pays extra attention to this procedure. It helps to avoid loads' spoilage, losses and, as a result, higher expenses of our clients.

Transshipment can be carried out right from one means of transportation to another and also with a usage of stores where loads are placed till the other means of transport comes to take it further. One of the main conditions of the qualitative transshipment is a well-organized co-work of two transport teams. It helps to avoid load's damages and additional time losses during transshipment.

If loads are transported using water-railway lines transshipment is usually carried out in ports and railway terminals. If the loads are being unloaded from a ship to the port's storehouse, transshipment should be made as fast as possible. If a ship have to stay for a long time in port during its unloading, the additional taxes are taken from the load's responsible person. Ship delay tax is called demurrage.

Schemes of transshipment can vary depending on types of transport and loads. Profetrans will choose the fastest, safest and less expensive scheme to transship your loads.
