The important document in dangerous loads transportation is a saety data sheet for the dangerous cargo. It contains the information on the dangerous properties of a cargo, the safety measures during its transportation with a glance of its properties and the information on its safe utilization.
Safety Data Sheet is usually formed in such a way:
Face:
1. List of dangerous loads;
2. Enumeration of the important properties of dangerous loads;
3. The description of dangers which the transported loads can constitute;
4. The description of protective measures from negative load impacts and procedures for prevention of dangerous situations.

The information on the safety card is classified based on the type of cargo hazard.
Back:
1. The description of the actions that should be implemented in case of a dangerous situation arises:
- in case of inflammation;
- in case of leak or scattering;
- in case of general alarm conditions;

2. The rules of a safe utilization;
3. First aim measures in case of alarm conditions.
If there is no standard safety data sheet for a particular goods or the goods are transported on dangerous cargo special terms, safety data sheet is attached to a bill of lading. In other cases the number of a safety data sheet is stated in the Load Name column in a bill of lading.
