        Transshipment

Transshipment means the transition of the loads from one transport unit to another. This procedure is carried out mainly in rail-and-water transportations for transshipping of sea-shipped loads to railway wagons for further transportation.

After loads are received in sea and railway terminals they should usually stay here for some time until they will be taken for further shipment. Therefore when loads come to a terminal they are unloaded in storehouses, where loads usually pass quality control.

The procedures of transshipment of loads and their storing are regulated by the additional agreement. For the transshipment was carried out fast and without any problems it's necessary to achieve a a good organization of cooperative work between the transportation departments. In sea shipment it takes an additional payment for downtime (demurrage) of vessel in port.

To avoid extra expenses on the loads transportation, its transshipment should be committed to highly-qualified specialists who will be able to carry out this process with minimum expenses and with a maximum speed.

Long year Profetrans experience will be a guarantee of safe, fast and economic transshipping of Your loads.
